It's hard to fully understand how the man known as "Cold Sassy Tree" came to be. Were it up to him, he would have you not spend too many of your thoughts on the etymology of such a strange name, and rather the reputation and deeds associated with them. Countless--and mostly successful--courier deliveries to all parts, known and unknown, for all clients of all kinds. Efficient and hassle-free escort and guard services. Discreet and comprehensive investigations on anyone and everyone worth knowing about. If a deed needs doing, never fully outside the thinnest boundaries of the law, he's the right tree to be barking up.

In recent days, yes, he's expanded his spheres of influence to include the elven folk of the wild, and some have even seen him conduct strange business with the fey folk. Trouble yourself not with such silly rumors; the man simply felt the proximity and civilization of Savior's Reach to be droll and tiresome, and began to expand his skills in a more... natural environment. When the time came to join in more provincial work, the Guild of Starlight seemed like an easy choice for him. Perhaps with their push to establish guild presence in the wildlands, a cold, sassy tree such as he, could not be more in demand...

For completing your backstory I'm going to give you an ability based on your trinket!

As a bonus action, you can apply a slight amount of acid to each of your currently equipped weapons. When you hit with your next attack, you deal 1d4 extra acid damage. You cannot do this again until you have a short/long rest.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
